How to go about buying and selling of sculptures

I've been collecting paintings and prints for a while, but now I think I want to go for more 3D stuff like sculptures, I like bronze works and I think I'm eyeing them, but at the same time I'm thinking about letting go of a marble, doesn't really fit my aesthetic anymore
So basically I need help with how to go about the selling and buying, what's the best way to go about it, should I go with galleries, online auctions or direct from artists?
Also has anyone sold a piece here before?

Galleries can be good for bronze if you want exposure and some guidance, but commissions or direct buys from artists can get you better prices and a story behind the piece. Now, online auctions work too, though fees can eat into your return

Not sure about selling, but here's a tip about buying. Reach out to artists directly and buy the art from them. They get all the profit and you'll make a friend, trust me on this.

@ArtSlinger that's a good move, you know. Branching into sculpture. Galleries are helpful for bronze if you want guidance and provenance, while buying direct from artists can be more personal and flexible. For selling the marble, have you had it appraised yet or are you just testing the waters first?
