frame dilemma

My gf is an art student, she got a reproduction of artwork from the 1600s or something

She's confused about which frame she should use.

Is it the baroque frame, a rococo frame, or just something simple?

What do you think, guys?

Baroque's bold and dramatic and really great for 1600s art. Rococo's more playful and ornate, so if the piece is serious, go Baroque. But maybe show her both and see what feels right

Yep, matching the style to the period and mood keeps things historically real and makes the whole framed thing look better put together.
