potential value etc? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Painting itself is Very large 24"X48"
Extra heavy gold leaf frame is massive 3-1/2" thick and 6-1/2" wide. (With painting removed from the frame gold leaf is evident inside the frame.)
I have circled in red what I believe is the artist signature in the lower right. Confused as to why they would make it so hard to make out?

Identifying a painter from a mark like that can be quite a challenge. Many talented painters created beautiful scenes like yours, meant to bring a lovely view into a home. With artwork of this style, its value is often in its beauty and its decorative appeal. The impressive frame is a big part of the whole package too!

Have you had a chance to look at the back of the canvas or the frame itself for any labels or writing? Sometimes a gallery sticker or a framer's mark can offer a clue to its history. It is a handsome painting, and I thank you for sharing it with us.
