what do you think about buying dali prints? i really like salvador dali at the moment. i read that there should be an "ea" inscribed which means epreuve dartiste / artist proof. but many of this dali prints are released in france.

so what should i do? i saw a dali print with the "ea" on it and it has a signature of dali as well. should i still get it? what's the tell-tale sign it's fake? i still really wanna get one.

A real Dali signature is usually in pencil and can look somewhat inconsistent since he signed thousands of prints, sometimes even pre-signed blank sheets before the artwork was printed., so a signature that looks overly smooth or printed rather than in actual graphite could be a potential red flag
If you're serious about getting one, I'd recommend checking if the piece is listed in The Official Catalog of the Graphic Works of Salvador Dalí by Albert Field. If the seller can't provide details on where it was originally purchased, that's another reason to be cautious.

yes. yes. YES. if it's your heart's desire to buy one give into it. but if your person you're talking to isnt really giving much, then buy somewhere else. lots of trusted shops online you can't stick with only one option. better spend more than buy a worthless thing.

if you like it, you should buy it. but if you're looking for something authentic, there's a COA for Dali's print. you might want to do a research about it

In my opinion, prints aren't really worth anything. It can easily be done. Anyone here who is willing to enlighten me as to why it's still a good investment, please do. I don't see the hype for it. I'd rather pay for someone to remake the art. Prints are annoyingly expensive for what they are worth.

I'm no expert but I just know that Dali forgeries are so prevalent! I was told a relative of my friend almost got scammed If money's no problem, maybe get an expert on authentication or something?

Check around first or do as much research as possible is what I can suggest
