Proper storage

The paintings I have aren't worth millions, but they're worth a lot to me, so I'm looking for good storage options. The reason for that is that I'll be moving to a new house, which is still under construction, but I need to more out of my old one. For the duration I'll be living with relatives which have more than enough space for me and my family, but not my items, which will need to go in storage. I'm mostly worried about the paintings and how to protect them. Any suggestions?

@Clipchipclipper1 yeah, proper packing is your first line of defense. Start by wrapping each painting in acid free glassine paper or archival paper to protect the surface from scratches and dust.
Never use regular plastic, as it can trap moisture!
Next, wrap the painting in bubble wrap, but make sure the bubbles are facing out to prevent them from imprinting on the canvas. Finally, place each painting in a sturdy, appropriately sized box or crate, and make sure to label it clearly as 'Fragile' with 'This Side Up' arrows

Thanks for the tips! I'm helping my aunt pack up her small art studio and she's got a mix of oil and acrylic pieces. Curious, does glassine work well for both types of paint, or should we use something different for oils?
