Conceptual art can be quite difficult to grasp but there's still one that baffles me till today and its about the "comedian" by Maurizio Cattelan and especially the aspect of the banana. I read somewhere that Sotheby's will get about $1M in fees but who gets the $5.2M from the auction sale, which was sold at $6.2M. Another or if not the most interesting thing was that the winning bidder was said to have stated that he would eat the banana once in his possession. So does that mean the sale ends there or can he or any other person can just buy another banana, tape it to his wall and sell it to another person for $5M ?

crazy to think that the people who can afford these are the people who tend to destroy the art culture. Well, i wouldnt know much since my financial position is not of their level. lmao. I just hope the money distributed actually contribute to the art culture.
